This course aims primarily to introduce the concepts, products and practices of financial markets, as well as to explore the role played by financial institutions within this context and the structure of the Brazilian Financial System – its figures, major institutions, agents, products and practices.

Additionally, it focuses on discussing the role of a bank and its contribution to the operation of the financial market; the market share and functions of its components (credit, capital, exchange and derivative markets); the products and transactions of each market; and the profile of financial institutions, their performance and results.
