This course will address the history and current context of digital coins, related technologies, systems and platforms (blockchain, cryptography, mining, etc.), particularly bitcoins, other relevant cryptocoins and their mechanisms (altcoins). We will discuss the process to enter the cryptocoin market – from fiduciary coins into cryptos through tradings with other altcoins – as well as security and storage; the concept of ICO (Initial Coin Offering) and its implications to the financial and capital market as an additional element to the array of uptake tools; the landmarks of this segment, some peculiarities, market icons, regulation topics and related technical jargon. We will finally explore the cryptocoin market impact on the corporate ecosystem for managers and entrepreneurs.
